Yen’s Story

Yen is a dedicated community leader, military veteran, and public servant who has spent her entire career fighting for the families of our district. Growing up in a working-class neighborhood, she learned early on that true strength comes from standing together and supporting one another.

After earning her degree in Public Policy, Yen joined the armed forces, serving with distinction and learning what it means to lead under pressure. Her military service instilled a deep sense of duty, discipline, and a profound commitment to defending the values that make our nation great.

Returning home, she brought that same dedication to the local level. Over the past 15 years, Yen has worked tirelessly as a community organizer, leading initiatives to improve our public schools, advocate for affordable housing, and ensure our neighborhoods are safe and thriving for small businesses.

She decided to run for office because she believes our district deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers real results. Yen knows that empty promises don't pay the bills or teach our kids—action does.
